Novariant Inc., a VC funded company, is the premier solutions provider for precision positioning and intelligent control systems. Novariant manufactures and markets Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers and precision agriculture and mining solutions for automatic steering and leveling based on its experience in advanced aviation landing systems.
Job Description: We are seeking a top-notch Accounting Manager to manage various aspects of our accounting operations. You should have a strong technical accounting background and a proven track record with tech-based companies. We operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-tasking environment, and you must be able to work well under pressure. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.
Were looking for a hands-on candidate to help build the accounting organization and drive continuous process improvement.
- Manage the company's key general accounting operational processes, including cash, fixed assets, and consolidation of all foreign legal entities, ensuring proper elimination of inter-company transactions and the general ledger.
- Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual close calendar.
- Complete monthly GAAP financial statements and prepare monthly financial reporting package for distribution to management.
- Analyze and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts to supporting documentation, including reconciliation of all cash accounts.
- Assist the Controller with income tax and state/local tax compliance.
- Propose and implement process improvements for streamlining procedures.
- Follow through on system improvements as they are identified.
