| Duties: |
This individual will take responsibility for product planning and product lifecycle management for AutoFarm's steering systems. This position is located in Fremont, CA. Specific responsibilities include:
- Gathering customer requirements through primary research (surveys, focus groups, attending field days and farm shows, etc.) and secondary research (magazine articles, analyst reports, etc.)
- Tracking and prioritizing requirements, publishing Market Requirements Documents (MRD) for new products and new product releases
- Managing Product Definition process across multiple functional groups (Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Docs, Operations, etc.)
- Serving on cross-functional team as marketing representative to support product development
- Driving pricing and promotion decisions within the marketing group
- Developing and implementing new product launch projects

| Education & Experience: |
- B.A. or B.S. required, M.S. or M.B.A. preferred, agriculture-related discipline desirable (agronomics or agricultural engineering, for instance)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Manager in a similar role/ organization.
- At least 5 years of successful experience bringing Hardware AND Software products to market.
- Agriculture industry a strong plus, five years or more strongly preferred.
- Familiar with agricultural products and markets.
- Able to work independently against multiple goals and deadlines.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture, GPS systems, and farm vehicles is very desirable.
- The candidate must have the ability to communicate with a wide range of stake holders-research engineers, operations, sales, dealers, and cutting edge farmers.
