Novariant, Inc. and Arag Announce Joint Partnership

Fremont, California, February 25, 2015 - Novariant, Inc and Arag announced earlier today their partnership in the development of Arag’s newest automatic steering system to complement their precision spraying technology.

The collaboration utilizes Arag’s Delta 80 or Bravo 400S Crop Spraying Computer/Navigator Technologies with Novariant’s ECU-S1 Autosteering Controller as a hub that interfaces with CAN (steer-ready) and Hydraulic Vehicle kits, as well as, Novariant’s fourth generation Mechanical Drive Unit (MDU-G4) to create a family of autosteering solutions with the highest level of accuracy and repeatability.

Arag’s assisted steering solution uses Novariant’s ECU-S1 and MDU-G4 to connect to a tractor's steering wheel and provides one of the easiest to install automatic steering systems on the market that does not require removal of the steering wheel. Automated steering solutions hold the vehicle precisely on straight or curved paths, track even under difficult conditions, save time and reduce the potential for skips or overlaps, and enable farmers to apply chemicals only where they are needed thereby minimizing application costs and increasing productivity. ECU-S1 with Delta 80 Computer also provides autosteering for factory steer-ready vehicles via CAN interface for a quick and seamless installation on steer-ready vehicles. The new autosteering system uses also ECU-S1 Controller, Delta 80 Computer and hydraulic vehicle kits to directly interface with the tractor’s hydraulic system for the maximum steering accuracy.

"Novariant is excited to partner with Arag to help deliver on its vision of providing a suite of user-friendly and highly flexible agricultural guidance and precision steering solutions," says Dave Vaughn, CEO of Novariant, Inc. “Arag’s worldwide reputation for quality and performance in precision spraying technologies and their wide variety of state-of-the-art and robust display solutions, complement Novariant's proven and easy-to-install precision autosteering solutions. Arag’s established partnership with numerous OEM customers fully aligns with Novariant’s focus on providing tailored solutions for OEM and VAR partners across the globe.”

“As the leading expert in spraying technology, Arag always aims for innovative solutions, to guarantee our customers the greatest possible success. The partnership with Novariant combines the most advanced precision spraying and display technologies with the knowledge of automated steering and precision guidance” says Giovanni Montorsi, CEO at Arag “Arag manufactures virtually every part on a sprayer. With the integrated steering products, Arag is now able to add also hands-free steering to the list of the offered high accuracy precision spraying solutions. Other big advantages of Novariant’s products are the open API structure of Novariant’s autosteering controllers to function with our display, their industry leading performance in terms of line acquisition and accuracy and their offered Automatic Calibration capability through simple operations. With Novariant’s high torque Mechanical Drive Unit (MDU) we can offer hands-free steering for any kind of sprayer.”

The GPS automated steering systems will initially be available for Househam's self-propelled sprayers. New sprayers can be purchased with autosteering capability activated from the factory. In addition, Househam dealers will be provided with aftermarket kits, which will enable them to retrofit existing sprayers in the field.

"Novariant is excited to partner with Househam to help deliver on its vision of providing high-tech solutions for professional farmers feeding the world," Dave Vaughn, CEO of Novariant, Inc. "The strength of Househam's Sprayers combined with Novariant's proven autosteering solutions will provide numerous benefits to farmers looking for the latest technology that enables them to be more efficient, environmentally responsible and ultimately, more profitable."

The customized automated steering systems will be based on Novariant's field-proven GeoSteer® technology, which has been integrated with Househam's Fieldmaster terminal and vehicle hydraulics. The vehicle guidance system connects to a sprayer's steering system to automatically steer it in consistently straight rows for spraying and applying fertilizer. Automated steering solution saves time and reduces the potential for skips or overlaps and enables farmers to apply fertilizers and chemicals only where they are needed - minimizing application costs and increasing productivity.

"The GeoSteer system has tested to be outstanding in steering accuracy and has delivered reliable performance," said Andrew Kneen, Director of Engineering at Househam. "Novariant's modular product architecture and open API made the integration into our solution extremely easy and seamless. Novariant's products are designed with forward looking features and capabilities in mind. As our customers come to expect more and more machine automation, the new GeoSteer system will add core value to our machines now and in the future."

Novariant, Inc. Announces New Focus on Providing Steering Solutions to OEMs

Fremont, California, September 17, 2012 - Novariant, Inc., a premier provider of steering solutions for precision agriculture, announced today its decision to focus its business on providing tailored solutions for OEM partners across the globe. This announcement reflects the strategic shift that has been underway since Novariant established partnerships with industry leading companies including Ag Leader Technology and Raven Industries, Inc.

"We recognize that there are two key points of purchase for precision steering solutions in the agriculture industry," says Dave Vaughn, CEO of Novariant, Inc. "We have had great success in the aftermarket and will continue to meet those needs via our Value Added Reseller partners. Novariant will continue to sell its industry leading solutions in Australia through its wholly owned subsidiary, GPS-Ag.

"We have a strong relationship with Ag Leader as evidenced by our joint success in North America," offered Vaughn. "We will continue to build on that success in Europe where our common distribution network makes for a natural transition."

This announcement comes on the heels of the launch of Novariant's latest product, GeoSteer™, a single antenna solution that provides precision autosteering for growers of cereal and broad acre crops seeking premier performance at a competitive price.
